Blow - Out - or is it?

Connecticut, Bridgeport - Report by Alondra. Today, we will give information about Blow - Out - or is it?.

I am one of those naturals that likes BIG hair the bigger my hair is the better.............the WWW is full of different methods of achieving  the heat-less "blow-out" with some naturals using the banding method, an old twist-out, any old stretched out hairstyle will work....... but for me the best  method is the old school method which is simply THREADING .........I call it old school because I saw my aunts doing this when I was young to keep their natural hair "straight" and soft.......
So I started off with freshly washed hair after my protein and deep conditioning treatment.......I sectioned my hair into smaller sections sprayed with my Aloe Vera Spritz and sealed with my Shea Butter mix........ and then I threaded each of the sections.........this for me is the FIRST round of stretching the results from the first round is soft hair but it hasn't quite reached that big blow out stage you need to thread a SECOND time to get the "blow-out" effect........for my second round I threaded my hair with a black wool/yarn and I kept this hairstyle as a protective style for 2 days.........then I removed the thread and got the big almost Diana Ross look I was looking for.......

to get the blow out  effect on hair that is already stretched out from an old twist out or an old actual blow dry all you need to do  is put a little cream in your hair I used some of the Nubian Nature Carrot Hydrating Cream (I am still in love with this cream) and thread it.....if you are going to spray your hair with your spritz and seal with a butter or oil make sure you don't use too much spritz.........just spray enough to make your hair slightly damp if you spray too much your hair will revert to its natural curly state and then you wont get that big blow out effect........

to maintain this style over a week you can either wrap you hair around your head with pins, put your hair into a big loose bun taking care not to put too much pressure on your hair line make sure you tuck the ends in to keep them straight or you can continue to thread........

what I like about this method of stretching on my hair is that no heat is used as I try to use as little heat as possible on my hair.........also my hair is not vigorously brushed and pulled in different directions by a stylist who really doesn't know how to handle natural hair............which means there is very little breakage and no damage to my hair..............

Try the heat-less blow-out and try and compare how your hair feels when you do it this way to how it feels when you use heat..........

Remember to always love your hair
