MOISTURISERS!!!!!!

Maine, Portland - Report by Lillian. Today, we will give information about MOISTURISERS!!!!!!.

Moisture is so important for your hair as without it your will break and it will not grow think of you hair as a twig..........when a twig is dry it snaps very easily but when it is still alive it is hard to just snap it in half you have to really twist and turn it to get it to break that is just how our hair is

So how do we moisturize our hair there is oils, butters and water which one?

Well oils such as avocado, coconut, macadamia nut, jojoba oil, olive oil the list of oils is endless and everyday there is a new oil that is discovered that is good for hair these oils have vitamins, and minerals that help feed our hair so the oils are basically like food for our hair and they make our hair  stronger,

healthier and shiner......they do not however moisturize our hair......then we come to the butters the most popular one being Shea Butter.......most butters are emollients which is a fancy term for softening and conditioning hair there is  also Avocado Butter and Mango Butter these butters all do the same thing...... just bring different vitamins to the hair, these butter also act as excellent moisture sealants for mostly 4 type hair but they are not moisturizers either..........

which leads me to WATER, AQUA........this is pretty much the only thing that is readily available that can moisturize hair of any type.......WATER maintains the elasticity of our hair and it penetrates deep into the cuticle to make our hair more supple therefore making sure our hair doesn't snap like a dry twig..........So all we need really is water to grow long luscious hair like +Naptural85  well not exactly........we need water,  oils and butters to grow healthy hair.........

Methods of Moisturizing

LOC method -  Liquid,  Oil and Cream
you spray your hair with a Liquid which is the water then you apply an Oil which can be jojoba, olive sweet almond oil........ any oil of your choice really  then Cream which is your leave in conditioner

LCO method - Liquid Cream Oil
exactly as above you just use the cream before the oil

LBO  method - Liquid, Butter and Oil
since I find leave-in conditioners absolutely pointless they don't really do anything for my hair but leave residue and make my hair fluffy like cotton wool (yuk).........I prefer this method as it seems to really seal the water in for my 4C type hair and makes my hair extremely soft......... I use the LBO method after washing my hair......in between washes I  like to moisturize with either sprtiz and oil or   I use a water based moisturizer my favorite at the moment being the Nubian Nature Carrot Hydrating Custard............

What are water based moisturizers? These are creams made my making an emulsion of water and/or oils and butters so they have a high proportion of water in them which makes them moisturizers..... I found that there are literally 100's of water based moisturizer on the shelves....... and you don't have to sell a kidney to buy them either........they are easily accessible and are available at  Dischem, Clicks, Shoprite, Spar and Pick and Pay...........

I was quite disappointed with most of the water based moisturizers on the shelves as most of them contained mineral oil, paraffin or petroleum which does nothing for my hair but coats it and doesn't let moisture in and it blocks the hair follicles.............but there was quite a few that I found that I used in the past and new ones I would definitely try out......

So what do you do with all this information.......... must you really moisturize..........ABSOLUTELY whether you choose to use the LOC or LCO or LBO method or water based moisturizers you must use them so that your hair grows and is healthy.........there is also no need to throw out what you have being using if it works well for you people's hair responds differently to certain products.........

Remember when you are looking for a new moisturizer for your hair that your moisturizer must have WATER or AQUA in it and for it to be a really good moisturizer the WATER or AQUA must be the first or second ingredient on the list of ingredients and try to stay away from mineral oils..........

Remember to always love your hair
