is it really Texture My Way?

Washington, Seattle - Report by Kayla. Today, we will give information about is it really Texture My Way?.

I enjoyed using the Texture My Way Stretch and Set Styling Foam, it gave my twist-out great definition and a soft "crunch-less" hold. However, the style doesn't last past a day; which meant re-twisting my hair every night to maintain the twist-out and though "I love my hair always" that is a bit too much work even for me.
I also tried to do a  perm-rod set lets just say that didn't work out as I expected it to,  it was a MESS.   I will keep this to twist-out's and bantu/zulu knots it also has an amazing tropical kind of fragrance when you use it you feel like eating some type of a fruit like a mango or kiwi or something of that nature, all of the products I tried carry this tropical fruit type of fragrance which is not over-powering.

The Texture Control Moisture Intensive Dual Conditioner (extremely long name) I found this to make my hair a little hard I suspect it's the big protein punch it is packing. After using it my hair needed a little more leave-in conditioner than usual - this one for me I am still not convinced with and generally having being spoilt by the Afro Botanics protein treatment which actually leaves my hair soft, I think I expected too much from this one.

this next paragraph is basically my rant for the day, as this Naturally Straight Flat Iron nonsense made me CROSS,  firstly  the name got me going;  I know sometimes I am a little overly sensitive BUT,  NATURALLY STRAIGHT I don't get it when did natural hair become "naturally straight",  that is why I ask with tears in my eyes is it really TEXTURE MY WAY? Or theirs because now my hair is been called naturally straight! I don't understand why you would have a natural hair product called Naturally Straight, here we all are all promoting loving our very own unique texture, and then this name? Okay so now that I have calmed down let's discuss the merits of the product, I found that this product did nothing for me when I blow dried my hair I found it a little too oily and I generally avoid oily products when I blow dry or flat iron, because I feel as if I am "frying" my hair as I try and force it to be what it naturally isn't. This one for me is a definite NO NO.

Thoughts.......
I feel that using only these 3 products from Texture My Way all the time might overload my hair with protein as each of the products does have a lot of protein in it.  After my trial of these products my hair needed an intense moisture treatment just to balance everything out again. These products are also not easily accessible,  I bought mine at Africa Cash and Carry in Crown mines which is not the friendliest of places.  I would have really liked to try the rest of the products in this range, as I think using the other products in the range might be just what you need to balance out the protein unfortunately, the day I went there was only these 3.

Would I buy them again......... yes ONLY if  the full range was more readily available, I would most definitely try them again to see if indeed the other products balance out the protein.

Have any of you tried these products what were you thoughts? Were you excited to get imports at such an affordable price?
