Snip Snip ends be GONE!!!

New Mexico, Albuquerque - Report by Emma. Today, we will give information about Snip Snip ends be GONE!!!.

I should know better but you know you just hold on to them hoping that they will just seal up magically…..well they don’t and consequently I have had to chop of more than an inch of my hair because I held on to my split ends longer than I should have…..my ends were looking ragged last week. I knew that they had to go last time I trimmed my ends was back in May 2014…….. I trimmed them myself……I do not advise this at all as my hair was extremely uneven and I left a few split ends behind which I would hap-hazardly trim off as I styled my hair  and yes I watched the you-tube video showing you how to cut your own hair IT DOESN’T WORK  unless you double jointed………furthermore,  I did not have a sharp enough scissor which meant I was actually doing more harm than good…….so this time I decided to go to a salon to have my ends trimmed by someone that actually knows how to cut hair………

before I went to the salon I shampooed my hair with Herbal Essences  Hello Hydration Moisture & Shine Shampoo (R109) then I deep conditioned my hair with Afro Botanics Deep Penetrating Moisturising Conditioner (R80) I sat under my hair dryer for 40 minutes with this treatment…….once I was done I rinsed the treatment out with cold water and applied a very generous amount of Afro Botanics Conditioning Moisturiser (R60) on my hair this is an excellent heat protectant it coats your hair to protect it from heat……..I decided to curl my hair with green rollers  and sat under the dryer on low heat for an hour normally I would let my hair air dry but I didn't have enough time for that

…...after my hair was dry I flat ironed my hair going over each section twice with the flat iron I made sure that my flat iron was on low heat.  I would not recommend that you use any heat on your hair without first using a heat protectant make sure the product you are using to protect your hair actually says HEAT PROTECTANT, I try and avoid products that have too much oil in them as then I will be frying my hair as I straighten it, even if you get your hair blow dried at the salon make sure they use a heat protectant putting oil on your scalp is not a heat protectant……. once my hair  was straight, and please note  it will not look as straight as your relaxer days if your hair is that straight then you have used too much heat and you most likely have damaged your hair.

I went to my old hair dresser who knows how to cut my word this man is talented with a pair of scissors…..but that’s all he is good at…. the first thing he said to me is “oh your hair looks terrible you need to deep condition and I have just the stuff for you” now folks my hair was soft and silky and apart from the split ends my hair was in excellent condition better than he has ever seen it………so I gave him a piece of my mind which went a little something like this “please trim the split ends off my hair and don’t pretend to know $@#& about my hair……I have treated my hair and you wouldn’t know healthy hair if it hit you in @#$&”  he then proceeded to trim my ends under my very watchful eye……..as if he had not received enough abuse he then proceeds to tell me I can actually REPAIR my split ends !??! you can only imagine the words that came out of my mouth they were not PG13…it took a good 45 minutes and my ends were trimmed and my hair was soft and smooth…….even he had to admit that my hair really felt good to work with!!! (unscrupulous hair dressers really annoy me)

My Fro! is now a little shorter than normal but my hair feels like silk, soft, smooth and it looks thicker……. I

(the top picture is a twistout on my trimmed hair you can see hair is fuller, the bottom picture though my curls are defined my curls are not full)

Do you hold on to your split ends? How often to you trim your hair?  How do you deal with an unscrupulous hair dresser just trying to make money out of you?

Remember to love your hair always
